At Magic Kingdom, this is where the magic starts and fantasy begins! Nothing can quite prepare you when you see the castle down at the end of main street for the first time so be prepared to cry, we know we did! The smell of food that comes down main street is another reason just to go and let us tell you, it's divine! You could spend all day at the park and still not see and do everything.
There are fireworks every night (unless they have closed for a special event, check the My Disney Experience app for your day you are visiting) and it is very popular to a point where people starting sitting down main street 2 hours, yes you read that right, before they start to ensure they have a good spot to see them.
There are lots of stores down main street that sell A LOT of merchandise, from toys, clothes, household items like mugs, plates, silverware to handbags, Pandora and not to mention all of the amazing sweet treats they sell! From popcorn, to candy, candy apples and cookies, there is something for everyone.
There are lockers located at the front of the park and they vary in price depending on the size, small $10, large $12 and extra large is $15 currently. You can open and close it as much as you like as you rent the locker for the whole day.
You can meet characters in Magic Kingdom, who will appear can vary as they do get changed (view the disney world app to check for upto date characters) but they can range from Aladdin and Jasmine, Belle, Cinderella, Minnie and Mickey to name a few. Some characters rome around freely, like the ugly stepsisters and the fairy godmother, so do keep your eye out for them!
In Magic Kingdom, there are 5 lands, each one has a different theming - Adventure Land, Fantasy Land, Frontier Land, Liberty Square and Tomorrowland.
Magic Kingdom has 4 thrill rides currently, Big Thunder Mountain Rail road, Tron, Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Tiana's Adventure.
Everynight Magic Kingdom hosts their firework show - Happily Ever After. The timing of the show can vary so it's always best to look at the Disney World app. During special events such as Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, the park closes at 6pm for guests who have not purchased tickets to the special event, so be sure to check when you are going to not miss the amazing fireworks. If you have purchased a special event ticket, then you are able to stay in the park after 6pm however be sure to see a cast member who will give you a special band to show you are able to stay in the park.
You also have parades during the day and these again can vary at times and what shows are on depending on the time of year.
Magic Kingdom is suitable for all ages and there is something for everyone so no one will miss out!
This is a Mickey Mouse rice krispy treat that as you can see was bigger than my hand and was $9.99 so it's a steal and easily shareable between families and friends. 😍

Magic Kingdom has a number of places where you can get different types of food, from hotdogs, burgers and fries to a full on sit down meal with characters. They can also cater to most dietry requirments so if you need any help, ask a cast member who will sure be happy to help. If you are doing a mobile order, you can also view the menu and see if it is suitable and some dishes you are able to change based on a dietry requirment.
