Universal Studios Resorts
Universal Studios Orlando has many different resorts to choose from that will suit all budgets. They are four different tiers, Premier, Preferred, Prime Value and Value. Located around Universal Studios they offer free transport to the Universal Parks and also to their water park, Volcano Bay. There are different transport available depending on which resort you choose. All resorts have a pool and some have more than one and have different types of food options that the family will enjoy. Staying on site at a Universal Resort Hotel gives you an advantage of an hour extra before the park opens to Universal Orlando to go into Harry Potter, Diagon Alley. Another advantage of staying at a Universal Orlando Resort, if you shop in the parks, they will send it to your resort free of charge ready for you to collect when you get back. (Normally you can only do this upto 24 hours before you depart)
Parking is available on site at the resorts, though there is a charge (please note: these prices can change at any time)
Premier Resorts - Portofino Bay $31 + tax, Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Royal Pacific Resort $33 + tax (The Grand Helios Hotel, which will be in the new Epic Universe Park, the opening date is yet to be released but we will update the page once we have more information)
Preferred Resort - Loews Sapphire Falls Resort $33 + tax
Prime Value Resorts - Cabana Bay and Aventura Hotel $23 + tax, Terra Luna $21 + Tax (opening 25th February 2025) + Stella Nova $21 + Tax (opening 21st January 2025)
Value Resorts - Endless Summer Resort — Dockside Inn and Suites $19 + tax, Endless Summer Resort — Surfside Inn and Suites $17 + tax
The two value resorts, Surfside Inn and Dockside Inn are both right next to Universal Orlando and are on the opposite sides to each other, one is blue and one is orange. Surfside Inn is the smaller of the two with a central pool in the middle of the resort. Dockside Inn has two pools with two large towers. Both resorts have suites to suit larger families, a small kitchenette and have 2 bedrooms which sleep upto 6 guests. The standard rooms at both sleep upto 4 guests. With both resorts they have to go options that serve food from breakfast to dinner alongside pizza delivery to your room. There are shuttle buses from both resorts that go to the parks.
Cabana Bay is a Prime Value Resort and is right next door to Volcano Bay, Universal Orlando's Water park, you can even get a room with the volcano view! Standard rooms sleep upto 4 guests and the suites sleep upto 6 guests. The suites come with a Kitchenette that has a mini fridge, microwave and sink. There are buses that can take you to the parks as well. With a pool, slide and also a lazy river with a sand beach so there is something here for everyone to enjoy. There are different food options from to go items, sandwiches, pizza, pasta to name a few and a restaurant as well as pool side bar alongside pizza delivery to your room.
Aventura Resort is also located right next door to Volcano Bay and has standard rooms as well as suites. The standard rooms sleep upto 4 guests and the suites can sleep upto 5 guests. You can upgrade your room to a skyline view where you get a wonderful view of the Volcano! With this resort you have dining options, from the rooftop bistro or pantry serving different dishes such as Pizza, burgers and asian cuisine and also a few bars. There is a pool and a kids splash play zone for them to enjoy. Buses are available to take you to the parks as well.
The new Terra Luna and Stella Nova resorts are also a Prime Value resort and have standard rooms which will sleep upto 4 guests. Each resort has a pool though the Stella Nova Resort will have a splash pad for the kids. Both resorts have to go options for food from breakfast to Dinner and also bar and grill. Each resort also offers pizza delivery to your room. There will be bus transportation as well to take you to the parks and both these resort will be the close to the new Universal Park, Epic.
Loews Sapphire Falls Resort is a preferred resort. Again, this resort is situated very close to Volcano Bay and you have a choice of either buses or boats to take you to the parks. This resort offers standard rooms which sleep upto 4 guests, either standard view, lagoon view or a pool view, and also offer suites which can sleep up to 4 guests though the suites go upto 1,353 square feet! This resort has a very large pool at 16,000 square feet alongside a sandy beach, slides and hot tub. There are different dining options at this resort, from a Caribbean style cookhouse to sandwiches and seafood. You can even order room service (24hrs) at this resort, so if you've had a long day and don't want to go anywhere, you don't have to!
Loews Portofino Bay Resort, Hard Rock and Loews Royal Pacific Resort come with special benefits as they are classed as the Premier Resorts. With these hotels you will receive free express unlimited passes for each of your party per day, (so long as they have valid admission tickets), priority seating at select restaurants at the parks and Universal Citywalk. You have the option of boat and buses to the parks also. They have different room options, from standard, club level and suites (ranging from 650 to 2,000 square feet). When staying at Club level you can also expect a complimentary continental breakfast (pastries,cereal etc) All rooms sleep upto 4 guests.
Hard Rock Hotel has a concert every month for those 21 and over that you can enjoy, a 12,000 square foot pool, with a 260 foot slide! There are a number of places to dine at this hotel, with American to Italian food, a grill, bar and even room service that is offered 24 hours a day.
Loews Portofino Bay Resort offers Italian food at their restaurants, from pasta, pizza and cheese's to sandwiches. They also have a couple of bars and a Gelateria (Gelato). You can also order room service whenever you like. This resort offers 3 different pools, The beach pool (largest on property), Hillside pool and Villa pool. If you're looking to relax after the parks, this resort has a spa with different options to help soothe your park tired body.
Loews Royal Pacific Resort has a lagoon style pool which has two hot tubs and an interactive water play area for children. This resort offers entertainment such as the Luau (Hawaiian style dancing). Different dining options offering polynesian style food, a sushi bar, poolside bar and grill, a to go market where you can purchase sandwiches, sushi, ice cream and much more. They also offer 24/7 room service as well.
