If you've been wondering if you should go on a Disney Cruise and are asking yourself these questions: would it be worth it, would you be bored, what about the food, is there any entertainment, then the answer is...yes, yes there is everything you could wish for and more!
A Disney cruise is very different to the parks, yes, you are on a ship and can't really go anywhere (unless your cruise has stops, but hey, you're still on the ship most of the time) but there is so much to do on the ship, you can't really be bored!
There is something for everyone aboard the Disney Cruise Ships from swimming pools, kids clubs, cinemas to shopping, character meet and greets, nightclubs, lounges, 24hr room service and even fireworks! There are also other activities on board but they are chargeable, such as: fine dining (Palo and Reme), spa treatments, wine tasting, to name a few.
All your food is included in the price from breakfast to dinner and snacks. Unlimited tea, coffee and soda as well as ice cream! (Gratuities are not included)
Before you go, be sure to sign up to the free Castaway club loyalty programme. By signing up, you'll be able to start your adventure with being able to book sailings prior to the public a certain amount of days before, giving you the upper hand at booking the stateroom you want.
On board Disney Cruise ships, there are different types of staterooms: Inside, Oceanview, Veranda and Concierge. Room sizes and prices vary depending on stateroom type, floor level, where on the ship you want to be, either the Aft, Midship or Forward and also the Ship you are going on. Some rooms can be accessible so if this is something you require, you can either tick the box if you're booking online when confirming your party or let the cast member know if booking via phone. All staterooms come with a safe, refrigerator, hairdryer and bathroom products. Beware if you require internet whilst on board, this is chargeable and costs depends on the package you select.
The cheapest rooms are the inside staterooms which don't have a window so to speak, but they do have a Magical porthole which do show real time ocean views.
Ocean view rooms have a porthole window where you can see out of and some rooms even have 2!
Veranda staterooms have a small Veranda that you can go out on and enjoy the fresh air, take a seat and enjoy the view though do some have a partial view depending on where they are located on the ship.
Concierge staterooms are the most luxurious of them all, with a large Veranda and coming with exclusive amenities and services.
Disney cruise line offers a huge variety of choice in terms of locations to go and travel from with different durations as well, so if you want to just give it a go and see how you feel, try a 3 day cruise or want to go full on out, go for a 15 night cruise, the choice is yours!
