Discovery Cove

If you're looking for something a bit different with a more relaxed atmosphere, Discovery Cove is where you'll want to be, you can meet different kinds of animals but at a slower pace that is filled with tropical flowers and trees, sandy beaches as well as waterfalls and winding rivers. There is a limited number of guests allowed per day so you won't be bumping into others guests as you stroll around. Parking is also free on site. Discovery Cove is also a designated certified Autism Center.

This park offers you a day where your food is included all day, yes, all day in your park ticket. Discovery cove opens at 07:30am so it's always advisable to get there early. If you purchased the package where you swim with the Dolphins, they will allocate your swim time on arrival.

They offer breakfast/lunch as a buffet style, you can help yourself to whatever you like and they also offer snacks throughout the day. If you drink alcohol, this is also included, such as select wines/beers/cocktails however you can purchase an upgrade for their premium drinks package where you get speciality drinks.

Guests under the age of 6 are not allowed to swim with the Dolphins however they are allowed into the park. Guests aged 6 - 12 must be accompanied by an adult who is also doing the Dolphin swim. Lockers are available and are free of charge whilst you are there, they also do offer sun lotion which is animal friendly and better for the animals though you can use your own if you prefer. Towels are also provided free of charge. They have wet gear for you to choose from, either a vest or a full wetsuit which is a requirement should you be in the water. The grand reef has an array of different types of fish and sting rays (barbs are removed, so there isn't any chance of being injured). There is also an aviary, otters and flamingos to view.

If you're looking to do something a bit different, Discover Cove offers different experiences as well, such as: SeaVenture - walking under the water with a dive helmet looking at tropical fish, mingle with the Flamingo's, a private tour of the animal trek, shark snorkeling as well as the ultimate package upgrade (currently prices start at $1,999 for 8 people).

There is plenty of seating for everyone but they do offer day beds/cabana upgrades for a fee and this varies in price depending on when you go due to demand. You can also purchased photos of your day/dolphin swim and the packages start at $99 upwards.

If you are already thinking of going to SeaWorld/Aquatica/Busch Gardens and you're thinking of going to Discovery Cove, then it's much cheaper to get Discovery Cove tickets as if purchasing your tickets in the UK, you automatically get 14 day ticket to their other parks, SeaWorld and Aquatica - if you choose the ultimate package, this will also include Busch Gardens so it's a win-win for savings!
