Hollywood Studios is home to the famous Tower of Terror ride and Galaxy's Edge, a land where Star Wars lovers reunite! Hollywood Studios also has Toy Story land perfect for whose who grew up with the films and for newbies alike.
As you move through Hollywood Studios from left, Hollywood Boulevard, Echo Lake, Commissary Lane, Grand Avenue, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Land. In the middle is Pixar Plaza and moving over to the right is Animation Courtyard and Sunset Boulevard.
If you like shows, then don't miss Fantasmic which is a nightly show with fireworks presented by Mickey Mouse himself. Beauty and the Beast also put on a fabulous show that isn't to be missed. There are different places to eat in the park, from BBQ and burgers to more upscale food at the Brown Derby (reservations required).
Hollywood Studios is the only place where it brings the live action, The Little Mermaid, to the park where you can meet Ariel (check MDE for times, locations).
There are lockers available in the park at the front and they cost $10 for small and $12 for large. You can open and close it as much as you like as you rent the locker for the whole day.
Galaxy's Edge is an amazing sight to see as the whole land has been themed as if you are on the planet, Batuu. You can build your own Lightsaber and Droid, these experiences need to be booked in advance and full payment is required at the time of booking, Lightsaber's are currently priced at $249.99 plus tax, Droid pricing is $119.99 plus tax. To book these experiences, you will need a VPN (private network) as unfortunately you cannot book these without one from the UK. We use Surfshark, whilst we do pay for ours, you can sign up to them for a free trial if you're just wanting to book this or you can contact Disney and they will normally send you paperwork to get it set up. There is a 24 hour cancellation period which you should cancel prior to this otherwise you will be charged the full amount if you do not turn up. Alternatively, you can buy a standard lightsaber/droid from the stores.
Galaxy's Edge has some unique food from the famous Blue and Green milk, Ronto roast and Oga's Cantina (reservation required). The Blue and Green milk you can get with or without alcohol (Blue milk comes with Rum and Green milk comes with Tequila) and is a plant based blend of coconut and rice milk, it doesn't have a overly coconutty taste if you're not a fan of coconut but it's certainly refreshing on a hot day.
You can get coca cola products in the land but they look slightly different (picture on left)😂, very cute and cheap souviner to take home.
Ronto Roasters is home to the sausage wraps and they have 2 different ones, a breakfast one which has eggs, sausage, cheese and peppercorn sauce in a pita bread, and the other one is the ronto wrap with roasted pork, sausage, peppercorn sauce and tangy slaw in a pita bread. Both are amazing and really do fill you up.
Oga's Cantina is an experience where you can purchase different drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholic that are based out of this world and you get 45 minutes inside due to limited capacity. 😂. Prices vary depending on what you order but vary from $7 upwards to $46. As this is an experience where you interact with Batuu cast members, it is expected to tip which is around 18% of your bill, however, you can tip as you see fit.
Now, you also have 2 rides in Galaxy's Edge, Millennium Falcon Smugglers run and Star Wars: Rise of the risistance. Both rides get very busy and you could wait in excess of 2 hours in busy times so if this is something that is important to your party, then be sure to get there early. Both of these rides also offer Lightning lane where you can pay to skip the queue should you wish to do, prices vary but can be around $20 - $25 per person, check the MDE app for upto pricing.
Toy Story land has Slinky dog dash as well as a few other rides kids might enjoy, with oversized toys, you'll think you've been shrunk down and turned into a toy! You can even find a cheese toastie here served with tater tots or soup and it's delicious!
The rest of the park has different things to see and do, like Minnie and Mickey's Railway ride, a Frozen sing-a-long and also some character meet and greets. These can range from Jessie and Woody, The Mandalorian, Donald and Daisy and Chewbacca to name a few. It's always best to check the MDE app as to what characters are there that you might want to see.
There is a character meet and greet at Hollywood and Vine where you can meet the Disney play and Junior characters and prices vary for breakfast and dinner, starting at $47 per adult, $30 per child for breakfast and $63 per adult and $40 per child for lunch and dinner. Reservations are recommended as it can get booked up though there is a walk up list if they have any space on the day.
